Since 1998

Alison Siple (she/her) started working with Lookingglass in 1998 as a production intern. Her costume designs with the company include: Still Alice, Mr. Rickey Calls a Meeting, Icarus, Fedra: Queen of Haiti, Nelson Algren: For Keeps and a Single Day and Black Diamond. She was the associate costume designer for Lookingglass Alice.

Alison’s recent projects include: The Magic Play (Olney Theatre Center), Airness (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Earthquakes in London (Steep Theatre), The Royale (Milwaukee Repertory Theater), The 39 Steps (Actors Theatre of Louisville), Yeomen of the Guard (Oregon Shakespeare Festival), The Flick (Steppenwolf Theatre company), Angels in America (Kansas City Repertory Theatre) and Our Town (The Hypocrites, Barrow Street Theatre, Huntington Theatre Company, The Broad Stage, Kansas City Repertory Theatre, Almeida Theatre). Alison won Jeff Awards for All Our Tragic (The Hypocrites) in 2015 and The Mystery of Irma Vep (Court Theatre) in 2010. She won non-Equity Jeff Awards for Cabaret (The Hypocrites) in 2011, Leonce und Lena (The Hypocrites) in 2005 and Time and the Conways (Griffin Theatre) in 2006.

Alison is also a community member with The Hypocrites and an artistic associate with Steep Theatre. She was the first theatrical designer to be one of 12 Chicago artists to receive a 3Arts Grant in 2011. She is a graduate of Northwestern University. alisonsiple.com
