Workshops & Training

Lookingglass offers custom-designed workshops for a wide range of participants, and we would be happy to design a program for you!

Custom Workshops & Training

Our areas of focus include teambuilding, creative storytelling, and exploring how Lookingglass’ core values of Invention, Transformation, and Collaboration can be used in the context of your organization. We also provide workshops as an introduction to a specific play (characters, themes, etc.) for groups who are attending one of our main stage productions.

We partner with a variety of organizations to provide workshops, both on site at Lookingglass and off-site at our partner’s location or choosing.

Organizations

We offer workshops for both local and traveling student groups (middle school, high school, and college) who are interested in learning more about Lookingglass and our method of creating theatre. These workshops are often in preparation for attending a Lookingglass show, but we also offer stand-alone programs.

Previous participants include Governor’s School for the Arts (West Virginia), Newington College (Australia), and Highland Park High School (Focus on the Arts).

Our corporate partners are often interested in learning Lookingglass methodologies to inspire creativity and teamwork in their own sectors.

Previous clients include Park Hyatt Chicago, Hyatt Hotels, Northwestern Medicine, GE, Marriott International, Astellas Pharma, and Beldon Roofing Company.

We work with a variety of community-based nonprofit organizations who are interested in learning about Lookingglass’ creative processes to further identify current needs and challenges, and develop strategies to reach their goals.

Previous participants include Facing History and Ourselves, Columbia College, Educational Theater Association, and others.
