Casting
Equity Principal Auditions are scheduled annually through Actors’ Equity Association. These usually take place in the spring for the upcoming production season. Information regarding these auditions is posted on the AEA website. Non-Equity and EMC actors are invited to attend the Equity Principal Auditions but are not guaranteed appointments. Please take note that Lookingglass does not schedule appointments; all appointments are scheduled though the Equity office.
Callback auditions for individual productions are by invitation only.
Our work is often new and certainly revisited; we believe in a performer’s ability to not only transform themselves to best suit a character, but to also transform the pre-conceived notions that encompass a character by bringing their own identity and experiences to the work. We are greatly influenced by the performers within our productions, and welcome you to submit with the intent of collaboration.
How to submit: Performers should email updated headshots and resumes. Electronic submissions must be formatted correctly in order to be considered. Both resume and picture should be in a PDF format as one attachment. PDF should be named Lastname_Firstname.pdf (e.g. Smith_Philip.pdf).

Volunteer
Volunteer ushers arrive an hour before curtain and assist with scanning tickets, handing out programs, coat check, and directing patrons to their seats. After the show, ushers will be responsible for light clean-up of the theater. Ushers are compensated for their work with a complimentary ticket to the performance they volunteer.

Script Submissions
Lookingglass is an ensemble-based company that primarily produces new work, both original plays and adaptations, created by our ensemble. Therefore, Lookingglass Theatre Company does not accept unsolicited scripts or script samples for consideration.
