It’s 2003 in Liberia, a country in the diamond-mining region of Africa that was colonized by freed American slaves. While covering the conflict for the BBC, journalist Jim Fox meets Black Diamond, leader of an elite group of female rebel fighters who embody courage, rage and political vision. Their encounter opens the door to a spiritual world that has been missing for each and will provide them a key to re-examine their respective identities.
