JAZMIN JONES-OLIVER

People and Culture Director

Jazmin Jones-Oliver (she/her) has been on the Lookingglass team since 2021 as the People and Culture Director where her role is to help put the humanity back in human resources. For over 8 years, she has used both her arts and marketing backgrounds to help organizations find their “why.” Jazmin’s life’s mission is to increase accessibility to the arts for all children. Born and raised in Miami, FL, she received her formal training in theater from the African Heritage Cultural Arts Center (AHCAC) and New World School of the Arts (Musical Theater). Before her big move to Chicago, she served as the Theater Marketing Manager for the AHCAC as well as Artistic Director of the African Heritage Youth Theatre (AHYT). In 2019, Jazmin was recognized as a “Rising Leader of Color” by Theatre Communications Group and in 2020, she was honored as one of the “40 Leaders Under 40-Miami” by Legacy Magazine. Jazmin received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Central Florida (Orlando, FL) and her Master of Arts degree from Old Dominion University (Norfolk, VA). Jazmin is overwhelmingly excited to take on the Windy City. In winter of 2023, Jazmin and her husband Rich Oliver will welcome their first baby boy, Naim. She is grateful for her forever students, her husband, their Goldendoodle August Wilson, and their baby boy Naim for motivation to keep going.
