Blair Thomas is a puppeteer and director/designer who has been working in Chicago for the past 30 years. Blair is delighted to work with Lookingglass again. His first puppet show as an adult artist, staged as a late-night performance at the Edge of the Lookingglass space in 1989, became You Hold My Heart Between Your Teeth, the first production of Redmoon Theater, which he co-founded, directed and co-directed until 1998. At the Museum of Contemporary Art Chicago he has staged Pierrot Lunaire (2006), The Ox-Herder’s Tale (2008) and Moby Dick (2016). Blair previously designed puppets for Lookingglass’ Mr. and Mrs. Pennyworth. He is the founder and artistic director of the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival.
