MCKENZIE CHINN

McKenzie Chinn (she/her) is an actor, filmmaker, and poet whose feature film Olympia (writer, actor, producer) premiered at the 2018 LA Film Festival and won the audience award at the 2019 Bentonville Film Festival. On stage she has worked with Goodman, Steppenwolf, and Victory Gardens Theatres, The Second City, Woolly Mammoth, The Studio Theatre, and others. She plays Jessica on season one of Fox’s The Big Leap, and has also appeared on Fox’s Empire, CBS’s The Red Line, and NBC’s Chicago Med. Her next feature A Real One (writer/director) is one of eight projects supported by the 2021 Sundance Screenwriters and Directors Lab. She is a current Women at Sundance Adobe Fellow, and one third of the acclaimed Growing Concerns Poetry Collective who released its second album BIG DARK BRIGHT FUTURES in 2020, with videos featured in Essence and Afropunk. McKenzie is represented by Actors Talent Group in Chicago and Ferrantino Entertainment in Los Angeles.
