Vanessa Valliere (she/her) has toured nationally with her own work as a solo artist and internationally as a performer with Manual Cinema. She has also toured with Theater Unspeakable and for six years, she was a content co-creator and performer with Tour De Fat. Vanessa teaches for the Chicago International Puppet Theater Festival and her devised solo puppetry/clown shows have been featured in the Festival every year since its inception.
She has been selected to perform in several National Puppet Slams and in 2022 & 2023, she completed two residencies as AD on Yael Rasooly’s new show, Edith et Moi at the Nordland Visual Theater in Norway. Vanessa received a micro commission from Heather Henson’s Handmade Puppet Dreams for the creation of Gut Feelings, a short puppet film that was accepted into numerous film festivals in 2022.
Vanessa is also a proud nerd-cheerleader for Chicago’s own thirty-piece marching band, Mucca Pazza.
