Melissa Sloane Briskman

Melissa has been teaching and directing young artists for over 30 years. She has worked at Apple Tree Theatre, Piven Theatre, Barrel of Monkeys, Lookingglass Theatre, Latin School of Chicago, and Riverside Brookfield High School. Melissa has studied theatre at Indiana University, BADA, ACT in San Francisco, and has a Master’s in Education from DePaul University. She believes in meeting students where they are, and creating environments that allow young people to find their unique creative voice, while centering playful, rigorous, collaborative fun.
