Kevin Douglas (Playwright) received a BFA in acting from The Theatre School at DePaul University.

After graduating, Kevin took writing and improvisation classes at The Second City. Kevin is an Ensemble Member of the Regional Tony Award-winning company, Lookingglass Theatre. His play Thaddeus and Slocum: A Vaudeville Adventure (which earned him a Black Theatre Alliance Award for playwrighting), and most recently Plantation! directed by David Schwimmer had their world premiere. His short plays Cautiously Optimistic and Chickens Be Roostin’ were in both Lower Depth Theatre’s Pandemic Play Festival and BIPOC Voting Plays Festival, respectively. He created and executive-produced the independent comedy Messy Lola starring Cynthia Kaye McWilliams at CynCity Productions. Kevin is part of the 25/26 CTG LA Writer’s Workshop and LA Artist Residencies Cohort, where he is developing a brand new play. He is also developing for film and television. @hereiskevindouglas
