Doug Hara (he/him) began working with Lookingglass in 1991 and joined the ensemble in 1993. He has participated as an actor, musician, composer, director and playwright.
Most recently, Doug wrote and directed Mr. and Mrs. Pennyworth for Lookingglass’ 2016-17 Season. Other Lookingglass credits include: Eastland, The Brothers Karamazov, Metamorphoses, Lookingglass Alice, West, Eurydice, The Arabian Nights, Up Against It, Master and Margarita and Lookingglass Hamlet. Credits outside Lookingglass include: Journey to the West and The Odyssey (Goodman Theatre), Threepenny Opera, A Prayer for Owen Meany, Something Intangible, and Cyrano (Arden Theatre Company), and Our Town and A Midsummer Night’s Dream (Two River Theater). Broadway credits include: Metamorphoses (Circle in the Square Theatre) and The Boys of Winter (The Samuel J. Friedman Theatre). Off-Broadway credits include: The Notebooks of Leonardo Da Vinci, Metamorphoses and Lookingglass Alice.
