About

Charlie Frankel (he/him) has served on the Board of Directors of Lookingglass Theatre Company for more than 25 years.

Charlie is the founder and president of Easy-Ware Corporation, a Chicago-based technology company that develops customer relationship management, ticketing, and fundraising solutions for cultural organizations. Through its platforms, including Insight Cinema Solutions (ICS), Easy-Ware provides integrated software tools that help independent cinemas, performing arts organizations, and museums strengthen their relationships with patrons, donors, and communities.

Prior to founding Easy-Ware, Charlie served as President of Fourth Bridge, an internet company that provided nonprofit organizations with integrated digital solutions to help them achieve their program, organizational, and financial goals more efficiently. Earlier in his career, he served as President of New Century Information Services and as Vice President and Group Product Manager at CCC Information Services. After grad school, Charlie worked as a consultant with The Boston Consulting Group in Chicago and Booz Allen & Hamilton in London. He began his career working in Asia, based in Singapore, working with Combustion Engineering/ABB.

Charlie holds a B.S. in Mechanical Engineering from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology and an M.S. in Management from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management. He has long been active in Chicago’s nonprofit community and has served on numerous arts and service organization boards, including the Inspiration Cafe, the Friends of Battered Women and Their Children, the Lyric Opera Auxiliary Board, and the Steppenwolf Theater Auxiliary Council.

In 2013, MIT presented Charlie with the Henry B. Kane ’24 Award, given in recognition of exceptional service and accomplishments in fundraising.
