Mantra (she/any) is a recent graduate of Northwestern University where she got a degree in Theatre and Economics with a minor in Playwriting. She has been a Teaching Artist with Chicago Children’s Theatre for the last year, and will also begin teaching at Steppenwolf Theatre shortly. In her time at Northwestern, she was the executive director of Griffin’s Tale Children’s Repertory Theatre, where she grew their revenue by 250% to serve more low-income schools. Recently, she also headed a successful fundraising campaign to premiere the play “Shikhandi: The Story of In-betweens” in America. She believes that diversity in theatrical form is very important, which is why she is drawn to Lookingglasss and its innovative physical theatre. Outside of work, you can find her painting album covers, traveling, and writing.
