Dr. Roth received her Bachelor of Arts from Oberlin College in Ohio. She earned her Doctor of Medicine from Rush Medical College in Chicago and completed her residency training at Rush-Presbyterian St. Luke's Medical Center, where she served as Chief Resident. She was also awarded a Howard Hughes Research Fellowship at the National Institutes of Health. During her training, Dr. Roth received the Gates Pharmaceutical Award for the top medical student in OB/GYN, the Golden Apple Award for Teaching Excellence, as well as residency awards in both clinical and teaching excellence.

Dr. Roth’s commitment to compassionate care extends beyond her clinical practice. Drawing from her own experiences, she designed and implemented a teaching program for residents at Northwestern, training them in the sensitive skill of delivering difficult news to patients—a testament to her dedication to both patient care and medical education.
