Mary Baglivo currently serves as the Chief Marketing Officer and Vice President of Global Marketing for Northwestern University, a top-ranked AAU private research university, with an operating budget of $2.1 billion, and an endowment of $9.8 billion. She is a senior adviser to the university president. In addition to these roles, she is a member of the Global Task Force, a group charged with defining a global engagement strategy for Northwestern.

Prior to her current role, Baglivo was most recently the Chairman and CEO, Americas for Saatchi & Saatchi Worldwide, a top global marketing and advertising agency. She was responsible for the North America, Latin America, and multicultural operations. During this time she managed global clients such as Procter and Gamble, Toyota, General Mills, Miller Coors, and Chase bank. Her tenure produced significant financial, operational, and reputational turnaround of the Saatchi flagship New York office and led to record revenue and profit growth for Latin American agency operations. Baglivo’s agency career also includes terms as President of Arnold Worldwide and COO, North America at J. Walter Thompson.

Baglivo serves as a director on the boards of Phillips Van Heusen (NYSE:PVH), a global branded apparel company that includes Calvin Klein and Tommy Hilfiger, Host Hotels and Resorts (NYSE:HST), the largest lodging real estate investment trust, and formerly Baby Jogger, a Riverside Private Equity portfolio company. She also serves on the boards for the Lookingglass Theatre Company and the American Association of Advertising Agencies Foundation. Before joining Northwestern as CMO, she was also a member of the Northwestern Board of Trustees and served on the Dean’s advisory board for Medill School of Journalism, Media, and Integrated Marketing Communications.

In 2011, Baglivo received the AAF Diversity Achievement Award, Industry Career Achiever and in 2006 was named New York Advertising Woman of the Year by the Advertising Women of New York. Baglivo holds an M.S. in Integrated Marketing Communications from Northwestern University, Medill School, and a B.A. in English, Phi Beta Kappa from Rutgers University.
