Jessica is a senior account executive at Hill+Knowlton Strategies, a global public relations agency. She is known for the impactful role she plays in achieving measurable results for many of the agency’s flagship consumer brand clients. Her exceptional media relations, event and marketing communication experience helped earn her spot on the agency’s list of top 25 employees in the U.S. this year.
Prior to joining H+K, Jessica was a key member of MWW Group, one of the top 10 midsize public relations agencies. In her spare time, Jessica is a teacher’s assistant for a public relations and marketing graduate course at the University of Chicago.
Jessica has been on the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board since 2010, serving as the VP of Marketing and PR.
Molly Beran manages several teams in IT at the Ann and Robert H. Lurie Children’s Hospital of Chicago, the largest pediatric provider in the Chicago region (formerly known as Children’s Memorial).
Prior to Lurie Children’s, Molly worked as a consultant for the Chicago-based Burwood Group, Inc, a boutique consulting firm specializing in IT management and infrastructure solutions. Prior to Burwood, Molly worked as a project manager and corporate trainer at Epic Systems Corporation, a Madison,WI-based software firm specializing in electronic health records. Molly graduated from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2004 with a degree in International Studies.
Molly has been a season ticket holder of the Lookingglass Theatre since 2011 and joined the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board during the fall of 2014. She is currently serving as the Volunteer Committee Chair. Molly also volunteers with the Chicago Area Runner’s Association as a pace leader, and with her church, Holy Trinity Lutheran Church, located in Chicago’s Lakeview neighborhood.
Philip de Guzman
Philip de Guzman leads Community Engagement at ContextMedia, a high-growth health information company that delivers actionable education when and where it improves outcomes. At ContextMedia, Philip oversees PR, Content and Onboarding.
Prior to ContextMedia, Philip was cofounder and Managing Director of Buzz22 Chicago, an award-winning, ensemble-based theatre company. A lifelong arts advocate, Philip grew up on the Jersey Shore playing music, skateboarding and staging plays before moving to the Midwest to attend Northwestern. He is currently an MBA candidate at Chicago Booth. After admiring Lookingglass from afar for years, he proudly joined the Junior Board in 2015.
Tai Duncan most recently served as the Director and Corporate Liaison at Ariel Investments, a Chicago–based money management firm serving individual and institutional investors through mutual funds and separately managed accounts.
Prior to Ariel, Tai served as an Assistant Corporation Counsel at the City of Chicago Department of Law in the Labor Division, practicing management–side labor and employment law for the City departments. Since 2009, she has held the position of Head Varsity Girls’ Basketball Coach at her alma mater, the University of Chicago Laboratory High School. In 2004, Tai graduated from Grinnell College with a B.A. in Sociology and a concentration in Gender and Women’s Studies. At Grinnell, she was on the Student Athlete Advisory Committee, and played one year of volleyball and four years of basketball. She was co–captain of the basketball team during her senior year and received Academic All–Midwest Conference honors as well as Second Team All–Midwest Conference Honors for athletic performance.
Tai is a 2008 graduate of the University of Iowa College of Law, where she earned service honors, received the Dean’s Achievement Award, and served as Community Service Chair of the Black Law Student Association and an Associate Note and Comment Editor for The Journal of Gender, Race and Justice. Tai is president of the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board, secretary of the Lab School Alumni Association Executive Board, an Advisory Board member of B.I.G. Baseball Academy, and a member of the University of Chicago Alumni Club.
Jason W. Griffith
Jason Griffith is an associate at Sidley Austin LLP where he is member of the Insurance and Financial Services Group. In Jason’s practice, he represents some of the world’s leading insurance companies and financial institutions in mergers and acquisitions, structured financing transactions and general corporate matters. In his pro bono practice, he has successfully represented a man who was imprisoned and tortured in his home country before escaping to America to seek asylum; Jason also represents small and medium sized enterprises in Africa and east Asia that work to benefit small-scale farmers who labor at the bottom of the economic ladder.
Jason is originally from Colorado, where he graduated magna cum laude from the University of Colorado at Boulder (B.A. in Political Science and Philosophy; B.S. in Journalism; Certificate in the Study and Practice of Leadership). While attending CU-Boulder, Jason helped found the Colorado Creed (a social responsibility campaign) and studied abroad in Shanghai, China. After working on various political campaigns around the country, Jason moved to Illinois for law school. He graduated magna cum laude from the University of Illinois College of Law, where he met a woman (fellow LGJB Member Kasia Griffith) and fell in love. Jason and Kasia moved to Chicago after law school, rescued their dog (Buddy) in 2013, and got married in 2014.
Jacqueline M. Helmrick
Jackie is an Associate at Vedder Price and a member of the Finance & Secured Lending group in the firm’s Chicago office. Jackie focuses her practice on finance transactions, real estate matters and general corporate transactions.
Jackie is an enthusiastic theater and music fan attending a variety of performances at many theaters each season. Wisconsin born and a University of Wisconsin – Madison alumna, Jackie remains a Packers, Badgers and Brewers fan even though she now considers Chicago home.
Jackie moved to Chicago in 2005 to attend Loyola University of Chicago where she received her J.D. and M.B.A degrees in 2008. In addition to serving on the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board, Jackie also serves as Chair of the Programs Committee for CREW Chicago and is a member of the Commercial Finance Association.
Jackie joined the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board in 2015.
Lindsay Knight is the Marketing Associate at Chicago Ventures, a seed-stage venture capital firm that invests in exceptional entrepreneurs and their innovative technology companies in Chicago and the Greater Midwest. She focuses on marketing, communication, events, PR and brand management for both Chicago Ventures and its portfolio companies.
Prior to Chicago Ventures, Lindsay acted as Vice President of CHOUmedia, a marketing and communications firm specializing in the intellectual property industry; and as Marketing and Events Coordinator at Ocean Tomo, an intellectual property merchant bank.
Lindsay has been a member of Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board since 2010. She currently acts as President, and previously served as the Vice President of Event Production, overseeing the production of the group’s largest annual fundraiser, the Madhatter’s Ball. She also serves on the Executive Committee of the Open Books Associate Board, a non-profit social venture that promotes literacy in Chicago and beyond. She graduated from Miami University with degrees in English/Journalism and Strategic Communication.
Ali McAnaney is a Relationship Manager at Sprout Social, a social media management platform that powers open communication between individuals, brands and communities through elegant, sophisticated software.
Prior to entering the Chicago tech scene, Ali worked in consumer insights at C Space in Boston, facilitating conversations between some of the world’s leading brands and their customers. Prior to C Space, she worked on the Harvard Business School recruiting team at The Boston Consulting Group.
After many years on the East Coast, Ali decided to return home to Chicago. In addition to Lookingglass, she tutors with Mercy Home for Boys and Girls and interviews applicants as part of the Middlebury College Alumni Association. Ali’s excited to get involved with Lookingglass as she has always been active in the arts. Ali graduated from Middlebury College in 2011 with a degree in English and American Literature.
Kathryn McMahon is an associate attorney at Katz & Stefani, LLC in Chicago, where she practices exclusively in the area of matrimonial and family law.
Kathryn is originally from Wisconsin and received her Bachelor of Arts from the University of Wisconsin-Madison in 2007. Kathryn also received a political science diploma from L’Université Paul Cézanne: L’Institut d’Etudes Politiques, in Aix-en-Provence, France in 2007. Kathryn moved to Chicago in 2008 for law school and received her Juris Doctor and Certificate in Tax Law from Loyola University Chicago School of Law in 2012. Before law school, Kathryn worked for a family law attorney in Wisconsin. While in law school in Chicago, she clerked at a family law firm, was a judicial extern for the Honorable Donald J. O’Brien, Jr. (retired), Circuit Court of Cook County, Law Division, and was a legal intern for the United States Department of Homeland Security, Immigration and Customs Enforcement, Office of the Chief Counsel.
Kathryn has been a member of the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board since 2013 and currently serves as the Vice President of Membership.
Nicole Meunier is currently a Development Associate at Teen Living Programs, a Chicago based nonprofit agency that is dedicated to providing transitional living and services for homeless youth.
Nicole originally hails from Michigan were she graduated from Oakland University with a Bachelors of Arts in vocal performance and a concentration in Communication. During her time OU, Nicole sang as a student and was active chair of the Young Professionals Program at the Detroit Opera House.
Meghan Quist is the Content & Advertising Coordinator at 101.9 The Mix. In this role she assists the sales team with various advertising projects and programs. While her main focus is the coordination of large-scale marketing campaigns, she really enjoys writing copy for advertisers which includes live read copy for the highly adored Eric & Kathy Show.
Prior to working at The Mix, Meghan interned at the Chicago based casting company, O’Connor Casting, followed by an Executive Assistant role at Playboy Enterprises, and as an actor for a variety of film and television projects. She graduated from the University of Iowa with a degree in Theatre Arts.
Meghan joined the Junior Board in the Spring of 2015 and is thrilled to be a part of such a creative and innovative theatre!
Jennalee Reiff is a Senior Strategist at a Chicago-based digital experience agency, Blast Radius. In her current role, Jenna develops marketing strategies for a number of the agency’s flagship accounts to help brands connect with consumers in an authentically human way that yields real business results. Since coming to Chicago four years ago, she’s held positions at leading agencies including Leo Burnett and VSA Partners, executing strategies for several renowned brands such as Allstate, AMA, IBM and more.
Jenna has been a member of the Lookingglass Theatre Junior Board for over three years. Since then, she’s taken on a larger role as the VP of Sponsorships and was one of three co-chairs for the 2014 Madhatter’s Ball.
Jenna is a Cum Laude and Honors graduate from the University of Minnesota, earning a Bachelor’s degree in Journalism and Mass Communications. As a Minnesota native, she enjoys exploring the outdoors, college hockey (Go Gophs!), biking and strange local colloquialisms such as Uff-da!
