On Friday, April 3, 2009 at The Ritz-Carlton Chicago, Lookingglass hosted its annual gglassquerade gala in honor of its 21st Birthday. The evening was co-chaired by Ernie A. Arias, Richard Ditton, and Nancy Timmers, and hosted by Lookingglass Ensemble member David Schwimmer.

With the funds raised through gglassquerade, Lookingglass advances its commitment to new theatrical works and increases its work with Chicago-area students and families through Educational & Community programming, reaching over 15,000 community members each year.

Ensemble Member David Schwimmer, presented the 2nd second annual Lookingglass Award for Civic Engagement to Lois Weisberg, Commissioner of Cultural Affairs for the City of Chicago.

Gglassquerade emcees Ensemble Member Joey Slotnick and Artistic Associate Kevin Douglas.
