Heidi Stillman on Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo

Bengal Tiger at the Baghdad Zoo is ferocious. It is raw, edgy, provocative, darkly funny and timely. It’s about the war in Iraq, it’s about War, it’s about war as an act of human - or animal - nature, the repercussions of war, the displacement of war, and the existence of God. Much of the existential questioning is done by a Tiger. Or after the first scene of the play, the ghost of a tiger.
