With easy beach access, and a large, breezy, sunlit patio that overlooks the lake, Promontory Point is the perfect location for Summer Camp on the Lake. Young performers spend their mornings working with professional theater artists learning acting, movement, music and art. Afternoons allow campers the chance to engage in outdoor activities, play theater games and prepare for their final performance. The camp session concludes with an original show in Lookingglass’ theater on Michigan Avenue that offers campers the opportunity to share their new skills with friends and family. The performance is scheduled for July 31, 2008. Campers bring their lunches Monday through Thursday but every Friday features our traditional camp cookout. Campers also participate in other fun camp activities including a lip synch contest, camp talent show and the weekly beach trip to the 55th Street Beach. Parents will receive a weekly newsletter every Friday, so they can stay current on all the camp news, programs and activities. Children must be at least nine years old on July 7th 2008 to be eligible for this camp. |
