PHILIP R. SMITH serves as Producing Artistic Director of the company and, occasionally, as an actor. Most recently appeared as Rev. Parris in Steppenwolf Theatre’s The Crucible. Recent Lookingglass credits include Tinker Bosch in The Wooden Breeks, Creon in Hillbilly Antigone and this Spring he can be seen as Phileas Fogg in Around the World in 80 Days. Regional credits include The Secret in the Wings at the McCarter Theatre and Seattle Rep and Hard Times at the Arden Theatre and The Arabian Nights at BAM (NYC), The Actors Gang (LA) and Steppenwolf. Further Lookingglass credits include Metamorphoses, The Idiot, The Vanishing Twin, and Up Against It. TV and film credits include Friends, Chicago Hope, Early Edition, Kissing a Fool, Since You've Been Gone, High Fidelity, and The Express. As Producing Artistic Director his primary efforts include marketing, casting, facilities and production.
