Tony Acceptance Speech

The Sonnet-ized version of Andy White's Tony Acceptance Speech
This lookingglass was forged when we were chased
Down Lewis Carroll’s famous rabbit hole
By David Schwimmer; What we then embraced –
Those fundamental tenets -- remain whole:
The strange belief that miracles are wrought
By many minds and hearts joined, not for glory,
But bent, convinced, more meaning will be caught
When we ask all together, “What’s The Story?”
That stories told and heard together shine
More brightly than those from our separate screens,
And give us just a glimpse of the divine
In each of us; a flash of what life means.
Now back to work: there’s more dreams to be spun,
More visions woven; now this sonnet’s done.
