Our Teachers

Usman Ally

Katy Boza went to school at Missouri State University and holds a B.A. degree in Theatre.  Outside of Lookingglass, Katy is a professional actor and babysitter extraordinaire, who spends her free time playing her ukulele and pretending to be a chef in the kitchen!

Jasmin Cardenas went to school at National-Louis University and holds a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts.  Outside of Lookingglass, Jasmin is an actress, writer, director, storyteller, and a Theatre of the Oppressed Practicioner.  Jasmin sits on the Board of Directors for Pedagogy and Theatre of the Opressed.

Pamela Cook went to school at the University of Kansas and holds a B.A. degree in Theatre and Film.  Outside of Lookingglass, Pamela is a consultant and co-founder of Mosaic Experience where she develops and leads workshops on cultural competancy.  She resides in Evanston with her 3 boys.

Thom Cox is Lookingglass’ Master Teacher.

Carolyn Defrin

Melissa DiLeonardo went to school at The Theatre School at Depaul University and holds a M.F.A. degree in Acting.  Outside of Lookingglass, Melissa is a theatre instructor, fitness instructor, and personal trainer.  She also loves to ride her bike.

Kevin Douglas

Christine Dunford

Lily Emerson went to school at Millikin University and holds a B.F.A. degree in Acting.  Outside of Lookingglass, Lily is a physical theatre artist actively creating with a variety of performance groups, including her own fledgling theatre company, Lucid Street Theatre.  

Molly Feingold graduated from the Jacques Lecoq International Theatre School in Paris, France and also holds a B.F.A. degree in Theatre from North Carolina School of the Arts.  Outside of Lookingglass, Molly is a theatre artist in the Chicago area.

Jessie Fisher went to school at the University of Colorado and holds a B.F.A. degree in Theatre Performance.  Outside of Lookingglass, Jessie is a teaching artist for Writer's Theatre and the Actor's Gymnasium.  She has performed recently the the Hypocrites, Steppenwolf and Rivendell Ensemble.

Anne Fogarty

Claire Fort went to school at Kenyon College and holds a M.A. degree in Theatre. Outside of Lookingglass, Claire is a dancer, poet, and professional actor.

Matt Hawkins went to school at Southern Methodist University and holds a B.F.A. degree in Theatre.  Outside of Lookingglass, Matt is a freelance actor, director, and fight choreographer in the city of Chicago.

Levi Holloway went to school at the Theatre School at DePaul University and holds a B.F.A. degree in Acting.  Outside of Lookingglass, Levi is a professional actor, accomplished visual artist, and a baker.

Kisha Jackson went to school at Columbia College Chicago and holds a B.A. degree in Communications.  Outside of Lookingglass, Kisha is a choreographer and actress.

David Kersnar

Josh Lesser went to school at Northwestern University and holds a B.S. degree in Theatre.  Outside of Lookingglass, Josh is an actor, director, teacher and maker of theatre.  He is also an amateur connoisseur of food, music, and television.

Mandi Michalski went to school at Northwestern University and holds a B.S. degree in Dance.  Outside of Lookingglass, Mandi is also a circus teacher and performer at the Actor's Gymnasium.  She is also busy planning for her future nuptials.

Dana Omar went to school at Loyola University Chicago and holds a B.S. degree in Elementary Education.  Outside of Lookingglass, Dana is an actor and dancer in the city.

Tracy Otwell

Nicole Pellegrino went to school at Northwestern University and holds a B.S. degree in Theatre.  Outside of Lookingglass, Nicole is a performing ensemble member and the Director of Education for Be the Groove.  She also performs and teaches with the Actor's Gymnasium and After School Matters.

Emilio Robles went to school at Wabash College, Pitt, and Bada-Oxford and holds a M.F.A. degree in Acting.  Outside of Lookingglass, Emilio is an actor, director, and voice-over professional, in addition to being a lead teaching artist with Pegasus Players and Steppenwolf Theatre Company.  Visit www.emiliorobles.biz for more information on what he's up to these days.

Joseph Schupbach went to school at North Park University and holds a B.A. degree in Theatre and Performance Studies.  Outside of Lookingglass, Joseph is a proud company member of Barrel of Monkeys, where he adapts and performs the stories of elementary school writers.

Megan Schutt went to school at The Ohio State University and holds a M.F.A. degree in Acting.  Outside of Lookingglass, Megan is an actor, director, and teacher in the Chicago area, most recently working with Point of Contention, Rascal Children's Theatre, and First Folio Theatre.

Kaycee Sewchok went to school at Point Park University and holds a B.A. degree in Theatre with a concentration in Musical Theatre.  Outside of Lookingglass, Kaycee is a performing arts and yoga instructor for various companies in the Chicago area.

Lanise Antoine Shelley went to school at Cornish College of the Arts and holds a B.F.A. degree in Theatre.  Outside of Lookingglass, Lanise is a dancer, painter, actor and poet.

Tracy Walsh went to school at Northwestern University and holds a B.S. degree in Performance Studies.  Outside of teaching for Lookingglass, Tracy is an ensemble member of the company, works with the Young Ensemble, teaches prenatal yoga, and is a mother of two girls.

Kevin Wasielewski went to school at the University of Illinois at Champaign-Urbana and holds a B.F.A. degree in Acting.  Outside of Lookingglass, Kevin is a student at UIC pursuing his M.Ed. in secondary English.

Andy White

Jacob Zawa went to school at the University of Iowa and holds a B.A. degree in Theatre Arts.  Outside of Lookingglass, Jacob is an Artistic Director of a brand new theatre company; a poet and wanderer; and an avid tennis enthusiast.
